GSA Leader Within the IASB

Global Speakers Agency is proud to announce NSB/GSA's Vice President, Theresa Beenken, has been chosen as the new Vice President /President Elect for the International Association of Speakers Bureaus (IASB) board.

Theresa and NSB/GSA Senior Account Executive Jeanne-Marie Robillard, recently returned from the annual IASB Annual Convention in Washington DC, where there was an increase in international presence.

What does our IASB membership and involvement mean for you? As members, we understand the needs of meeting planners. IASB is to the speakers industry what MPI is to meeting professionals. IASB member bureaus subscribe to a Code of Ethics, take part in on-going professional development and adhere to a high level of professional standards.

When you work with an IASB member bureau you know you are working with trained professionals in the speaking industry who provide expert information and suggestions about speakers.

GSA's involvement with IASB stretches back to our President, Perry Goldsmith, who was one of the association's founding members more than 20 years ago. More recently, Theresa Beenken was the recipient of the President's Award in 2008 and the Above and Beyond Award in 2006 for her outstanding contributions to the association, and our bureau has earned the Community Service Award on multiple occasions.
