Roger Mooking has developed a culinary philosophy built on perfect execution of globally inspired culinary traditions. As a third generation restaurateur and chef he began his formal training through the George Brown Culinary Management Program where he earned Top Student Honours diploma and is now the Chair of the Professional Advisory Committee. Mooking continued his training at Epic Dining Room in Toronto's world renowned Royal York Hotel before consulting on several food and beverage openings.

Roger is currently Executive Chef / Co-Owner of Nyood Restaurant in downtown Toronto where he has earned a reputation as one of Canada's premier Chefs. Mooking sold his first digs, Kultura Social Dining - family man as much as he is a globetrotting, product-endorsing, TV-star chef, Mooking was getting tired of never seeing his wife and kids.

He is still the Host and Co-Creator of his own television series entitled Everyday Exotic which is broadcast by Food Network in Canada, The Cooking Channel in the United States and Caribbean, Food TV in New Zealand, and Discovery Channel in SE Asia. Also, he is the recording artist and creator of Soul Food; a unique food and music project released by Warner Music. Roger is also a regular contributor to The Mark News, an online magazine, providing food related commentary.

For Mooking, music and the epicurean world are seamless. One feeds the body, the other the soul; it is all food in all its various forms.
