Leading Canadian business speakers with NSB
It’s business awards season and NSB business speakers have received plenty of end-of-year recognitions! NSB represents award winning business leaders in Canada including corporate culture, Canada’s smartest company, entrepreneurial success stories, and more. Awards recently announced include: PROFIT Magazine – Canada’s Smartest Company 2014: Nurse Next Door with John DeHart. PROFIT magazine noted:
“[Nurse Next Door’s] commitment to constantly looking for and attempting to fix its inevitable shortcomings—or, as company managers like to say, “find a better way”—makes it PROFIT’s choice for Canada’s Smartest Company this year. The organization never stops listening and learning. It tracks metrics relentlessly.”
Last year’s winner was Harley Finkelstein’s Shopify. NSB speakers sweep two years in a row! PROFIT Magazine’s Top Female Entrepreneur of 2013: Kelsey Ramsden. That makes it two consecutive years Kelsey has received this honour. Kelsey has also been named to the 2013 class of WXN Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women, where she received the CIBC Entrepreneurs Award. Kelsey was recently featured in our Women in Power blog post where she gave some insight on performance. One of Canada’s Top 10 Admired Cultures & Top 10 Passion Capital organizations – Dave Williams’ Southlake Centre. The organization also received two (gold & platinum) MarComm awards. The Southlake Centre was also recently featured in the NSB Blog Post: ‘Celebrating one of Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures.’ Inc Magazine Top 10 business books for 2013 – Bruce Poon Tip’s Looptail. Said Inc. Magazine’s Jeff Haden:
“If passion, purpose, and a healthy dose of social responsibility are the central factors in your entrepreneurial life, Poon Tip is your guy. While he does share the nuts and bolts story of how he created the business and culture of G Adventures, he also provides a surprisingly candid look at the missteps and mistakes he made along the way. If you’re fascinated by the emotional journey entrepreneurs take as they build their companies (I know I am) this is your book.”
Kelly Lovell was named to the top-100 of Canada’s Most Powerful Women 2013 – the youngest recipient to ever be named. A young woman who tirelessly invests her time in helping individuals and organizations reach their full potential, Lovell’s well deserved recognition helps pave the way for young individuals aspiring to make an impact on those around them. Challenging preconceptions about young individuals and their leadership capabilities is something Kelly is more than willing to lead the way in. NSB congratulates these and all our award-winning speakers for their hard work in 2013. We’re proud to help inspire audiences with their unique messages, and we look forward to an exceptional 2014.
