MPI WEC 2019 | Kielburgers on the power of WE
The competition for attention and loyalty is at an all-time high and within the conference, meeting, and event industries audiences are exposed to countless opportunities for personal and/or professional development and networking. How do you get your event to stand out? To be remembered? To create impact beyond attendance? At Meeting Professionals International’s World Education Conference this year (#MPIWEC19), event professionals are coming together to answer these kinds of questions. Marc and Craig Kielburger have a unique approach.
Brothers, social entrepreneurs & co-founders of the WE Organization Marc and Craig Kielburger have a few suggestions based on their global event series of “WE Days” that annually engage 200,000 youth to create real change in the world.
From Event to Movement: The Power of WE
Don’t Miss: Marc & Craig Kielburger @ WEC 19 June 17 – 3:00pm
At the conference, Marc & Craig will be sharing the most important lessons they learned from building WE Days into a global movement with over 22 stadium-sized life-changing experiences held across Canada, the United States, the UK and the Caribbean. Today, WE Day is a powerful experience with world-renowned speakers and performers including Richard Branson, Selena Gomez, Prince Harry, Magic Johnson, Jennifer Lopez and more sharing real-life inspirational stories of change.
Years ago, Marc & Craig stopped planning WE Day as a single event and started designing it as a movement focused on longevity and year-long engagement. Their vision is unique and interactive, you can’t buy a ticket to WE Day; students earn their way by taking one local and one global action through WE Schools, a yearlong educational program.
The Kielburger’s engaging and empowering event experience is enabling young people to become compassionate leaders and active citizens. Now, they are sharing insights gained from their experience building a global movement with event professionals to inspire experiential thinking instead of simple event management.
