Toni Morgan at COCA Central Regional 2015

The Canadian Organization of Campus Activities (COCA) is the only association dedicated purely to campus activities programming in Canada. Once again, we’re proudly partnering with COCA to showcase new and impactful speakers for Campus audiences in the coming year. This years’ COCA Central Regional Conference will take place Nov 12-14 at Brock University. We’re excited to be showcasing one of our newest speakers generating buzz on campuses across North America: NSB-Divider

Toni Morgan | Social Change Activist

Lunchtime Keynote | November 13

Overcoming the obstacles of poverty, homelessness and marginalization are achievements that have shaped Toni into the person she is today. Her passion for social justice began as a homeless high school dropout working in underserved communities. Despite the obstacles, she silenced internal and external voices of doubt and went back to school to obtain her undergraduate degree. After being accepted to Harvard, her educational dream was realized when she launched an online crowdfunding campaign to help cover tuition. Her perspective on issues ranging from poverty to education and youth employment are refreshing additions to campus events across North America.

Toni is coming off an inspiring performance at We Day Toronto where she shared her story on getting into Harvard and the power of education.

We’ll also be joined by another empowering voice on our roster of campus speakers:

Nova Browning Rutherford | Personal Development Coach Transforming Past Pain into Progress

Biz Hall | November 14, 12:00 PM – 2:30PM

No stranger to the COCA crowd, Nova took home the organisations Best Lecturer Award earlier this year. She masterfully weaves the life lessons she has gathered from her career experience in the music industry to deliver instantly relatable presentations, including:
  • Mental Health on Campus

  • Diversity & Identity

  • Sexual Assault Awareness

Nova-ConestogaNova recently delivered a powerful presentation at Conestoga College during their Mental Health Colour Run. A fair size crowd committed to the cause of Mental Health awareness shared intimate details on why they were running.

“…we laughed, we got perspective, we listened to one another, we owned up to our excuses and faced fears. when I give these talks, I get so much in return, including the reminder that nothing is in vain when you learn the lesson.”
